WWE WrestleMania 33 Betting Odds: Lesnar Overwhelming Favorite Against Goldberg

OddsShark.comMar 31, 2017

The story of Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg started over 13 years ago at WrestleMania XX. So it is only fitting that the final chapter between Lesnar and Goldberg is written at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando, Florida, on Sunday.

Though Goldberg has gotten the better of The Beast Incarnate in recent months, Lesnar finds himself as a massive -5000 favorite (bet $5,000 to win $100) to top Goldberg, according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.

Goldberg became one of only two WWE superstars to defeat Lesnar at two or more separate pay-per-view events (the other was John Cena) when he decimated the former UFC heavyweight champion in just one minute and 24 seconds at Survivor Series. Since that victory, Goldberg has gone on to squash Kevin Owens in less than 30 seconds to win the WWE universal title at Fastlane last month.

Goldberg finally got his title run and his spot atop WrestleMania, so one would assume that Lesnar finally gets the win back over Goldberg in this one—thus the massive betting line.

Over on SmackDown Live, Bray Wyatt enters his WWE Championship title defense as a +450 underdog on the WrestleMania 33 betting lines against challenger Randy Orton. There have been some odd happenings in this storyline, which includes arson and Wyatt rubbing the ashes of Sister Abigail all over himself.

It seems awful early in Wyatt's run as champion to take the belt off him, and it would basically mean that the months of storytelling between him and Orton largely resulted in no character progression. In the eyes of the hardcore fans, Wyatt should go over here.

However, with neither Lesnar or Goldberg really satisfying the typical face/heel dynamic, you could understand why WWE chairman Vince McMahon would want the supposed face, Orton (remember, he burnt down Wyatt's home), to go over.

Of course, it wouldn't be WrestleMania without The Undertaker. The Deadman is a +400 underdog in his match against Roman Reigns. Taker is undoubtedly one of the biggest legends of the sport, but he is aging and is clearly in pain every time he enters that ring.

Undertaker is an old-school wrestler who would likely adhere to the "go out on your back" mentality of traditionalists. However, there is no doubt the WWE would want to honor his legacy in the ring as well.

Other notable favorites on the card for Sunday include Kevin Owens, Baron Corbin, AJ Styles and Neville.
