How Long Will Goldberg Stick Around?
According to Randall Ortman of Cageside Seats, WWE very much wants Goldberg to sign a new deal: "They’d likely follow the existing pattern of a couple Raws to set up a pay-per-view match."
Given the lack of legitimate star power on the Raw side of things, it is no surprise WWE reportedly wants Goldberg to stick around. He is a household name who appeals to die-hard fans and casuals. His presence elevates the importance of pay-per-view events, too, much in the way Brock Lesnar's does.
Keeping Goldberg on does have its disadvantages, though.
How many full-time performers will suffer because of his presence? How many will have to eat the spear and Jackhammer for the duration of his run?
These are very real questions WWE should take into consideration before the 1990s icon puts pen to paper.
If he puts pen to paper.
Sasha Banks is Turning Heel When?
It has been expected that Sasha Banks will turn heel on Raw women's champion Bayley sometime in the very near future. Ortman reported that turn could be coming on the grandest stage imaginable: "Look for Sasha Banks to turn on Bayley at WrestleMania or the next night."
If that is the case, could Bayley retain at The Showcase of the Immortals and face the wrath of her former rival-turned-friend?
Potentially.
Banks could also cheat to win the title, turning heel on Bayley and ending her fairy tale story in heartbreaking fashion. Whatever the case may be, it appears the best friends duo that makes up the babyface side of the women's division on Raw could be headed for Splitsville.
Is Shinsuke Nakamura Sticking in NXT?
Shinsuke Nakamura is an internationally recognized star and the face of NXT. One of the biggest questions surrounding him, though, is when fans might be able to watch The King of Strong Style in action on Raw or SmackDown.
Ortman also shed some light on that situation.
"Shinsuke Nakamura’s being added to NXT’s UK tour doesn’t rule out a post-WrestleMania call-up, but it does make it unlikely he’ll be on the road with the main roster any time soon," Ortman wrote.
If true, it is majorly disappointing for Nakamura, not to mention his fans.
A staple of NXT for the last year, he has accomplished everything he can with that brand. He feels very much like a star in a holding pattern, a competitor with no upward momentum because there is nowhere for him to go up to.
He may be good for ticket and merchandise sales in NXT but in terms of career growth, the brand now fails to benefit him.
