Mets Minor Leaguer Pays Price for Parking in Jacob deGrom's Spot

Andrew GouldMar 21, 2017

New York Mets minor leaguer Kevin Kaczmarski made the mistake of parking in a spot reserved for star pitcher Jacob deGrom.

Since the 25-year-old outfielder has never played above A-ball or won a Heisman Trophy, he doesn't receive the same perks as an ace. His teammates taught him that lesson the hard way.

Although it's unclear if he orchestrated the payback, relief pitcher Josh Smoker tweeted a photo of the prospect's vehicle covered in plastic wrap.

Kaczmarski is otherwise having a good spring, going 6-for-10 with two doubles and a triple. Perhaps the small-sample-sized success got to his head while he searched for a parking spot.
