Jim Ross' Wife Jan Undergoes Surgery for Skull Fractures After Vespa Accident

WWE Hall of Fame announcer Jim Ross revealed Tuesday that his wife, Jan, underwent surgery after suffering skull fractures in a Vespa accident.

Ross tweeted the following regarding the incident:

According to TMZ Sports, Ross called the situation "touch and go" and said "it could be a tough day."

Ross told TMZ Sports the accident occurred Monday when Jan was riding her Vespa to a gym near their Oklahoma home.

Jan was struck by another vehicle and was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The 65-year-old Ross joined WWE in 1993 and worked for the company for nearly two decades, primarily as a play-by-play announcer.

He is currently the voice of New Japan Pro Wrestling for NJPW's American broadcast on AXS TV.
