Netherlands Home Run Hits World Baseball Classic Fan in a Painful Spot

When Yurendell de Caster of the Netherlands launched a home run to the seats in left-center against Cuba, one World Baseball Classic fan in Tokyo was eager to try to make a play on the ball.

That turned out to be a painful mistake.

The fan botched his golden opportunity to catch a home run ball, and instead, the ball caught him...in the you-know-where. Ouch.

While the video above focuses on the homer, Deadspin's Samer Kalaf provided an alternate angle of the blooper—which will go down as one of the best (yet most unfortunate) clips of the year.
