Mariners Hire Mariachi Band to Follow Leonys Martin on His Birthday

Leonys Martin turned 29 years old Monday. The Seattle Mariners celebrated the outfielder's birthday by bringing a mariachi band to their spring training facilities in Peoria, Arizona.

Throughout Monday's practice, the band Mariachi Phoenix serenaded the outfielder. Not limited to the field, they followed Martin everywhere:

The birthday boy was required to wear a sombrero, which proved cumbersome in the batting cage:

The Mariners have set the bar high to commemorate everyone's birthday in style. They must next prepare something for recently acquired infielder Jean Segura, who turns 27 on March 17. Maybe a St. Patrick's Day theme?
