4-Star Center Prospect Justin Dedich Commits to USC Trojans
The USC Trojans added a talented piece to their future offensive line Tuesday when center prospect Justin Dedich committed to their 2018 recruiting class.
Dedich announced his decision on Twitter:
Dedich, who is 6'2" and 285 pounds, is a 4-star prospect, the No. 87 overall player and No. 1 center in his class, per Scout.
He drew plenty of attention from West Coast schools, with Washington, UCLA, TCU, Utah and San Diego State, among others, all on Scout's list of interested programs during the recruiting process.
Hudl shared a look at some of his head-turning highlights at the high school level:
Dedich brings versatility up front and is listed as an offensive guard by 247Sports.
Greg Biggins of Scout also noted Dedich can play some guard, although he praised the lineman's "advanced technique" at the center spot. Biggins also pointed to Dedich's mobility and physicality and said he "has all the intangibles and makeup you're looking for in a leader on the offensive line."
With that description, Dedich is someone who could quite literally become the centerpiece of an offense at the college level.
Dedich provides USC with depth at multiple offensive line positions and is someone who can eventually develop into a leader through his play.
