PODCAST: Interview with Jamie Mottram about Mr. October

Despite one half of the JoeSportsFan Show being on location in New York, like the true warriors that we are, your trusty hosts still managed to tough it out and put together episode number 33.  We are, as they say in the sports world, “gamers”. 

With postseason baseball kicking off this week, we felt it only appropriate to play a special MLB Playoff edition of Wiffle Ball featuring your hosts, Matt Sebek and Josh Bacott, bantering around topics that included the following:

1.) If our friends at BetUS.com offered you $100 to place a bet on the most likely 2009 World Series MVP, who are you betting on and why? 

2.) Which player on a playoff team is most likely to pull an “A-Rod” and completely crap on themselves? 

3.) Which team’s locker room do you believe smells the worst during or after a big post game celebration?

4.) If you had your choice of the major network baseball announcers to call the World Series, which play-by-play guy and which analyst would you go with?

5.) You have a friend who is willing to buy you a ticket and fly you to whatever 2009 first round playoff game you choose – where are you going? 

With October baseball on the mind, we also reached into the vast JoeSportsFan Show archives and pulled out a never-before-heard interview with the one and only Jamie Mottram of Y! Sports and MisterIrrelevant.com where Mottram discusses his extremely “unique” podcasting experience with Reggie Jackson a few years back and finds a reason to bring up Will Clark’s mustachioed Cap’N Crunch baseball card that is no doubt worth thousands today.
