Celeb Appearance Battle: NYC 2, LA 0
In the ongoing battle between the two highest profile cities in America to see who can have the biggest celebrities appear on television at their team’s playoff game, the city of New York scored an impressive two celeb victory over Los Angeles on Wednesday night.
At the opener of the Yankees-Twins series, TBS cameras sought out the reaction of actress and alleged lover of A-Rod’s purple lips, Kate Hudson, and rapper Jay-Z who was apparently test driving his part of the Run DMC costume he’s wearing this coming Halloween. Two A-list stars pretending to give a crap about Yankees baseball in exchange for publicity.

Meanwhile, across the country, TBS could only muster shots of two aging Hollywood veterans in their seats during the Cards-Dodgers playoff game. Robert Wuhl, forever known as the man who was given an HBO series about the life of a sports agent and still managed to make it suck, took a seat next to the man they called “Meathead” in All in the Family, Rob Reiner.
The star power of Arli$$ and Meathead was not enough to stack up to NYC’s roster. In the 2009 playoff battle to show celebs awkwardly celebrating in the stands – praying that a camera finds them – it’s New York 2, LA 0.
