Top NFL Week 15 Picks

Packers (-7) at Bears

The Green Bay Packers looked like they were done when they were sitting at 4-6 just a few weeks ago, but after reeling off three consecutive victories, they have a legitimate chance to reach the playoffs if they can win out.

Green Bay decimated the Seattle Seahawks 38-10 last week, and although it must travel to Chicago in Week 15, it is difficult to imagine the Bears posing a huge challenge considering how well the Packers have been humming along in all phases.

The play of quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been the biggest key to the Pack's success, as he has quietly put together a remarkable statistical season despite the narrative that he was struggling, according to Bleacher Report's Ian Kenyon:

His performance level has been especially high in recent weeks, which prompted NFL.com's Chris Wesseling to wonder if he warrants some MVP consideration:

Rodgers has thrown multiple touchdown passes in eight straight games, and he has gone one month since last throwing an interception.

He and the Packers beat the Bears earlier this season at Lambeau Field 26-10, and Rodgers threw for 326 yards and three touchdowns.

While Chicago will likely try to play the ball-control game with running back Jordan Howard leading the way, it doesn't have enough to keep pace with Green Bay in the passing game behind quarterback Matt Barkley.

Rodgers appears to be a man on a mission, and despite the fact that Sunday marks a rivalry game on the road, he'll once again be locked in enough to help Green Bay win comfortably.

Patriots (-3) at Broncos

The Denver Broncos have given the New England Patriots and quarterback Tom Brady fits over the years, but they appear to be two teams heading in different directions.

New England is coming off an impressive win over the Baltimore Ravens, while Denver fell to the Tennessee Titans and is clinging to the final playoff spot in the AFC.

Brady made a strong Ravens defense look ordinary, as he threw for 406 yards and three touchdowns. That marked the continuation of what has been an incredible season for Brady that nobody has come close to matching, according to Pro Football Focus:

Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian has played well as of late, but he is a second-year player, and it is asking a lot to expect him to keep pace with Brady.

Denver's best hope is if it can pressure Brady with regularity like it did last season in the AFC Championship Game. That means Von Miller will be tasked with playing his best game of 2016.

New England has a chance to put itself in great position to clinching home-field advantage with a win, though, and that motivation will push the Pats to a tough road victory.

Bills (-10.5) vs. Browns

The Buffalo Bills likely played their way out of playoff contention over the past two weeks with losses to the Oakland Raiders and Pittsburgh Steelers, but they still have a chance to finish the season on a high note with an easy three-game stretch.

That starts Sunday with the 0-13 Cleveland Browns, who have gone more than one calendar year since picking up their last win.

According to ESPN Stats & Info, the odds of Cleveland upsetting Buffalo on the road are remarkably long:

Perhaps the biggest reason for that is the combination of the Bills' rushing offense against the Browns' rushing defense.

Buffalo ranks first in the NFL with 154.6 yards per game on the ground behind running backs LeSean McCoy and Mike Gillislee and mobile quarterback Tyrod Taylor. Conversely, Cleveland is 31st against the run, allowing 146.2 yards per game.

If those stats hold true, the Bills should have no problem possessing the ball and marching it down the field at will against the Browns.

In addition to that, Taylor has plenty of motivation to go out on a high note this season, as general manager Doug Whaley has yet to commit to bringing him back in 2017, per WGR 550 (h/t ESPN.com's Mike Rodak):

"

You got to look at the whole season. He's got [three] more games to write this chapter. And then after this season, like everybody on the team, we're going to do the evaluation, and we'll go from there. But this season is one of those things where he's done some things really good to get us to six wins. But just like everybody on the team, there are some plays that he wishes he could do over.

"

Although a win over the Browns isn't likely to convince the Bills that Taylor is the long-term answer at quarterback, he desperately needs a strong showing to get back on track.

Cleveland is the ideal team to put up big numbers against, and that motivation will help the Bills produce a blowout win at home.
