Latest on Fiedorowicz's Playing Status

Texans coach Bill O'Brien said Fiedorowicz is day-to-day, according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, with O'Brien adding he will "do everything he can to try to play on Sunday."

Latest on Fiedorowicz's Practice Status

Wednesday, Dec. 14

Mark Berman of Fox 26 reported Fiedorowicz did not take part in Wednesday's session.

Fiedorowicz Has Emerged As Safety Valve for Texans

The 25-year-old tight end had three catches for 32 yards on a team-high seven targets in the 22-17 win against the Colts.

Fiedorowicz is in the midst of a breakout season. The 2014 third-round pick had only 21 catches for 195 yards in his first two years in the league combined, but he has turned into a valuable member of the Texans offense in 2016.

Through Week 14, the tight end has recorded 48 catches for 505 yards and three touchdowns. He's caught at least three passes in 10 straight games while topping 40 receiving yards in seven of those contests.

At a position that lacks consistency, Fiedorowicz has become one of the most trustworthy tight ends in the NFL.

"He's been a nice asset for the quarterback," offensive coordinator George Godsey said Dec. 7, per the team's official Twitter account.

If Fiedorowicz misses more time, Ryan Griffin—who is also in the midst of a career year (40 catches, 347 yards, two touchdowns)will be the next man up at tight end.
