Tiger Woods Sinks 5th Hole from Bunker at Hero World Challenge
Andrew GouldDec 3, 2016
Tiger Woods' comeback has picked up steam Saturday at the Hero World Challenge.
The 40-year-old, who hadn't competed in over a year, opened the third round with four birdies in his first five holes. On hole No. 5, he left fans salivating at the prospect of Woods returning to vintage form.
Down in a bunker, Woods still sunk his shot to the delight of the New Providence, Bahamas, audience. He celebrated in typical nonchalant fashion.
With a four-under through seven holes Saturday, Woods is soaring up the leaderboard. Despite his storied past, the PGA Tour's No. 321-ranked golfer wasn't expected to immediately factor into the later rounds.
This is the best the sport's icon has looked in quite some time.
