WWE NXT Results: Winners, Grades, Reaction and Highlights from November 30

Erik BeastonNov 30, 2016

Samoa Joe regained the NXT Championship at TakeOver: Toronto and Wednesday night on the WWE Network, The Samoan Submission Machine battled "The Perfect 10" Tye Dillinger in the main event, seeking to continue his roll.

Speaking of former TNA world champions looking to maintain momentum, Eric Young was in action.

Flanked by his Sanity teammates, he battled No Way Jose in singles competition. With the dangerous faction at ringside, though, it was only a matter of time before the numbers game caught up to the dancing hero.

With Asuka also in action, the deranged and dangerous competitors defined the November 30 episode.

Find out if they came out on top now with this look back at Wednesday's broadcast.

Asuka vs. Nicole Matthews

1 of 3

Longtime SHIMMER Women Athletes star Nicole Matthews made her first appearance inside an NXT ring Wednesday night.

Unfortunately for her, she ran into the buzz saw known as Asuka, the NXT women's champion.

Matthews' offense was terribly limited before Asuka no-sold all of it, delivered her running hip attack and scored the tapout submission with the Asuka Lock.

Analysis

In case you could not tell, Asuka is an unstoppable badass champion.

Of course, you would have to be living under a rock not to know that, rendering the purpose of this match a mystery.

Still, Asuka looked like a killer here, tearing through a respected veteran of the independent scene and establishing herself as the top female performer in WWE.

Yes, above even Charlotte and Sasha Banks.

No Way Jose vs. Eric Young

2 of 3

A week ago, No Way Jose came to the aid of Rich Swann as the new cruiserweight champion was on the receiving end of a beatdown at the hands of Sanity. This week, the dancing, fun-loving Superstar squared off with that faction's leader, Eric Young.

Jose dominated early but a distraction from Alexander Wolfe allowed Young to take over control.

The babyface survived a Dragon Sleeper attempt and mounted a comeback. A distraction from Nikki Cross, Sawyer Fulton and Wolfe led to Young delivering his wheelbarrow neckbreaker for the win.

After the match, a maniacal Cross climbed the ropes and delivered a big dropkick to Jose before laughing crazily.

Analysis

The match was fine for what it was and set the table for the Sanity faction.

It appears as if Young and Company will resort to the same cheating nonsense that plagued the other enigmatic faction, The Wyatt Family. To have them cut the same prophetic promos+, only to be the same underhanded bad guys as everyone else, defeats the purpose.

If that is the case, perhaps Young should have remained plain old wrestler he was when last seen in NXT and climbed the ranks under that persona.

Tye Dillinger vs. Samoa Joe

3 of 3

On the heels of a strong performance in a loss against Bobby Roode and a thunderous home country reaction in Canada, Tye Dillinger returned to NXT looking to slow the momentum of new champion Samoa Joe.

Joe targeted the lower half of Dillinger, using the same knee-based offense that he softened Shinsuke Nakamura up with at TakeOver.

Every attempt at a comeback Dillinger tried, Joe cut off. The champion openly mocked his opponent but could not put The Perfect 10 away.

The babyface fired off more attempts at a comeback, but the damage done to his knee limited his offense. Eventually, Joe grounded Dillinger, applied the STF, then the crossface and, ultimately, the Coquina Clutch for the win.

Analysis

This was a Samoa Joe at the top of his game systematically picking apart Dillinger. No matter what the babyface did, the champion cut him off, picking him apart and forcing the submission.

The champion has been phenomenal in this, the second half of 2016, and is quietly building his argument for NXT Superstar of the Year acclaim.

Dillinger was solid here but one has to wonder why management will not pull the trigger and give him a legitimate push when he is mostly over with the NXT crowd on a consistent basis.
