Theo Riddick Injury: Updates on Lions RB's Ankle and Return
Detroit Lions running back Theo Riddick was dealing with an ankle injury that put his status up in the air for the team's Week 13 game against the New Orleans Saints. However, the Lions announced that Riddick was available to play Sunday.
According to the Lions' official injury report, Riddick was questionable after putting in three limited practices during the week.
Riddick has already been forced to miss time in 2016 due to an injured ankle, which has flared up at different points over the course of the season.

Meanwhile, fellow running backs Ameer Abdullah and Dwayne Washington have also dealt with injuries over the course of the year, which has forced the Lions to continually shuffle the depth chart at the position.
When healthy, Riddick has been somewhat of a breakout player in 2016.
The fourth-year running back showcased his receiving ability last season with 80 catches for 697 yards, and he has followed that up with 356 receiving yards this year. However, he has rounded out his game by showing his ability to produce as a standard runner. He has a career high of 355 rushing yards with a touchdown.
"He’s an unbelievable athlete," tackle Taylor Decker said of Riddick, per Carlos Monarrez of the Detroit Free Press. "He can just make guys miss. He can really make plays. Maybe the blocking isn’t the best on a particular play, but he can make something happen. I think that’s really, really invaluable to have on your team."
