Japanese Pitcher Shohei Otani Blasts Would-Be HR into Roof of Tokyo Dome

During an exhibition game against the Netherlands on Sunday, Japanese pitcher Shohei Otani launched a moonshot into the Tokyo Dome ceiling.

Though it would have been long gone if not for the roof, the shot was deemed a ground-rule double.

As noted by Deadspin's Emma Baccellieri, Otani earlier this year broke his own record for the fastest pitch ever thrown in Japan. The 22-year-old is made for highlight reels.
