Theo Epstein Eats Goat in Wrigley Field Bleachers After Cubs Win World Series

The Curse of the Billy Goat is dead—and has been properly buried in Theo Epstein's stomach.

Last week, the Chicago Cubs put an end to a 108-year title drought that featured several prominent figures, none more so than the hated billy goat. That's why, when his team finally won a much-anticipated championship, Epstein knew exactly what he wanted to do when he got back to the Windy City:

Eat a goat in the Wrigley Field bleachers.

"They've said there are no curses, that it was just a matter of putting together a great baseball team," said Boka Restaurant Group co-owner Kevin Boehm—who made the meal happen—per Shia Kapos of the Chicago Sun-Times. "But they were happy to eat that [nine-and-a-half-pound] goat."

A fitting end to a storybook season...and generations of disappointment.
