Students List Cubs World Series Win as Reason for Tardiness

At least they were honest.

The Chicago Cubs needed 10 innings and over four hours (including a rain delay) to snap their World Series drought with a Wednesday night game that dragged into Thursday morning.

Young Cubs fans weren't going to miss an epic Game 7 classic because it was a school night.

As a result of staying up late to watch and celebrate the historic victory, this school's log of late arrivals featured several students who attributed their tardiness to the Cubs. No use lying when some of their peers (and teachers) probably didn't show up at all.
