Seahawks Nail Double-Pass Trick Play vs. Saints, Gain 43 Yards
Kyle NewportJun 8, 2018
Not every trick play works out, but the Seattle ran one Sunday and saw it unfold exactly how the coaches drew it up.
On from the New Orleans Saints' 45-yard line, Seattle dug into its bag of tricks. Quarterback Russell Wilson threw a backward pass to Tanner McEvoy, who hit a wide-open C.J. down the field. The end result: a 43-yard gain.
The took advantage of the big play, finding the end zone on the next play to take a 14-3 lead. The Saints, however, would rally for a 25-20 victory.
