Insider Buzz: Alshon Jeffery Will Not Be Moved at NFL Trade Deadline
With Tuesday's 4 p.m. ET NFL trade deadline rapidly approaching, Chicago Bears receiver Alshon Jeffery figured to be one of the hot names over the next 24 hours. He's a free agent at the end of the season, giving the Bears incentive to move him now rather than risk losing him for nothing over the offseason.
Injuries may complicate that decision for Chicago, however. Kevin White, the No. 7 overall pick in 2015, is on injured reserve after fracturing his fibula in Week 4, while Eddie Royal has been nursing a toe injury over recent weeks.
Do the Bears think White could emerge as their top receiver upon his return? What are the chances of Jeffery being dealt by Tuesday?
