Liverpool Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Mahmoud Dahoud and Nathaniel Clyne
Liverpool could reportedly face major competition in their bid to sign Borussia Monchengladbach Mahmoud Dahoud, as Manchester City and Juventus are also both interested in the 20-year-old midfielder.
According to Joe Rimmer in the Liverpool Echo, Dahoud was a key target for Reds manager Jurgen Klopp in the summer, but the youngster opted to remain at Gladbach.
Rimmer added that Klopp is still keen to move for the German, but Juve are now preparing to open the bidding for him with a £13.4 million offer in January—his release clause will reportedly be just £8.5 million next summer—while City have joined the race to sign him.

If Liverpool are intent on snapping Dahoud up, they will have to match or better Juve's prospective January bid and hope to persuade the playmaker that Anfield is the best place for him.
City's involvement could prove problematic, as they have more than enough funds to outbid Liverpool if manager Pep Guardiola has eyed Dahoud as his next signing.
Klopp could be crucial in persuading Dahoud to choose Liverpool, as he has an excellent record of developing young players and could likely offer the Syrian-born star more first-team opportunities than Guardiola or Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri.
It is little surprise that Dahoud has become such a sought-after player. He enjoyed a breakout season in 2015-16, netting five goals and providing eight assists in 32 Bundesliga appearances, per WhoScored.com.
Despite his youth, his confidence on the ball, excellent distribution and defensive prowess have made him a key part of Gladbach's side, per Bundesliga expert Cristian Nyari:
Dahoud has immense potential and could add dynamism to Liverpool's engine room, but the Reds look set for a scrap if they are to sign him.
Meanwhile, Liverpool could face a battle to keep hold of Nathaniel Clyne in January as Barcelona are reportedly eyeing the Englishman to strengthen their right-back region.

According to James Dickenson in the Express, the Camp Nou giants are looking for an upgrade on out-of-favour Aleix Vidal and out-of-position Sergi Roberto in the right-back role, and Clyne has been discussed as a potential candidate.
Clyne is an essential part of Klopp's first team and has played every minute of the Reds' 2016-17 Premier League campaign so far.
The 25-year-old's contract at Anfield runs to 2020, and Liverpool are unlikely to consider any offer for him unless Barca make a mammoth bid as they attempt to find a long-term replacement for Dani Alves.
