Bray Wyatt vs. Kane: Winner and Reaction from WWE SmackDown

Mike ChiariOct 25, 2016

Bray Wyatt continued his recent roll Tuesday night on SmackDown Live, as he defeated Kane in a No Disqualification match.

After a back-and-forth match, Randy Orton ran down to the ring as Kane delivered a chokeslam on Wyatt. Orton would then shockingly hit Kane with an RKO, as WWE shared:

Even Wyatt was shocked at Orton's decision, via WWE Universe:

The rivalry between the Eater of Worlds and the Big Red Monster has intensified as of late due in part to Wyatt seemingly abducting Kane a couple of weeks ago on SmackDown.

During a tag team match pitting Wyatt and Luke Harper against Kane and Orton, the lights went out, and there was no sign of the Devil's Favorite Demon when they came back on.

Kane's absence was brief, however, as he appeared the following week. After Wyatt was wheeled to the ring in a casket during a match between Orton and Harper, Kane emerged from the casket, and a melee involving the four Superstars ensued.

Wyatt and Kane have a long history with one another, as the Big Red Machine was the New Face of Fear's first target when he debuted on the main roster.

They have crossed paths on several occasions since that time, and they had a number of matches against each other in the weeks leading up to Tuesday's bout.

When Orton was unable to compete at Backlash due to a backstage attack by Wyatt, Kane stepped in as his replacement in a No Holds Barred match. Kane went on to win thanks to interference from The Viper, who has since become his chief ally.

They went on to have another singles match on SmackDown, and Kane was once again victorious when Wyatt intentionally got himself counted out.

There was nowhere to run or hide Tuesday due to the No Disqualification stipulation, and it made for a brutal and violent match between two competitors who are at their best in dangerous environments.

Wyatt picked up a crucial win over Orton at No Mercy thanks to a helping hand from Harper, so it made sense to maintain his momentum with another triumph on SmackDown Live. Now there is the added wrinkle of Orton assisting his foe.

The creative team is tasked with a tough situation, though, since it must find a way to keep Wyatt on a hot streak until Survivor Series and perhaps even beyond that due to the possibility of his feud ending up in a traditional elimination match.

SmackDown is in somewhat of a holding pattern currently because of how the pay-per-view calendar is shaping up, but if Wyatt continues to win matches, then he will be well-positioned to be among the blue brand's top heels for many months to come.
