Manchester City Transfer News: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Rumours Denied by BVB
Borussia Dortmund's sporting director Michael Zorc has rejected rumours linking Manchester City with a big-money move for striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Aubameyang has a further four years to run on his contract at Dortmund and was handed the captaincy for the first time in his career on Saturday as they drew 3-3 away at Ingolstadt in the Bundesliga.
According to Neil Fissler of the Sunday Express, Manchester City are reportedly keen on signing the Gabon international as a replacement for Sergio Aguero.

Fissler wrote: "City won't have any problems in meeting Dortmund’s valuation of Aubameyang, who is under contract until 2020. The club will also have no problems in matching the player's personal terms."
But Zorc has fired back at claims linking their star performer with a move to England and the Premier League.
As reported by German newspaper Bild (h/t Stephan Uersfeld for ESPN FC), Zorc said: "I don't want to react to this bulls--t anymore."

The flat-out denial comes as Aubameyang did little to quell speculation over his future at the start of the month, when he admitted his father had met City to discuss a deal in the summer.
When quizzed on City, the striker told Onze Mondial magazine (h/t James Walker-Roberts of SkySports.com): "It's true, there was contact. My father held talks with the club, but in the end there was nothing concrete. I think there was interest [from Real Madrid], but it was more distant so I didn't get too carried away."
A prolific frontman, Aubameyang enjoyed a stellar campaign last year and has already struck seven times this season as his stock continues to rise.
While his pace and trickery catches the eye, his all-round game and approach play continues to improve, and he's impressing fans of the Bundesliga and beyond.
He performs with a confident swagger, a style that has led him to being named among the 30 contenders for the coveted Ballon d'Or prize, as outlined by FourFourTwo.
If Man City manager Pep Guardiola did decide the time is right to let his leading marksman Aguero go, Aubameyang could be the ideal replacement.

As Hayden Atkins for FootballFancast.com noted, Aubameyang "will always brings bags of pace and ability to the field," and he suggested a partnership with Guardiola "could be a match made in heaven."
But it is questionable whether Guardiola would let Aguero go when the Argentinian is such a key man. Indeed, Aubameyang may not bring much more to the club than what they already have.
Money will no doubt talk eventually, but it seems unlikely the Dortmund forward will be lining up in a City shirt anytime soon.
