Fan Footage Captures Leo Messi's Winning Penalty and Crowd Reaction vs. Valencia
Barcelona's 3-2 win over Valencia on Saturday afternoon ended in dramatic fashion, as Leo Messi tucked away a stoppage-time penalty to move the defending champions provisionally to the top of La Liga.
But the moment was not without controversy, with two of Messi's team-mates seemingly struck by objects thrown from the crowd while celebrating in front of the Valencia fans at Mestalla, as reported by ESPN FC.
One fan was on hand to capture the moment Luis Suarez and Neymar fell to the ground, as well as Messi's reaction to the incident, with the Argentinian appearing to curse at the home fans, per John Hutchinson of the Sun.
