Mangold Remains Key Cog to Jets O-Line
Mangold's knee has been hampering him since Week 5 against the Pittsburgh Steelers when he was forced to leave the game early. He underwent an MRI, and head coach Todd Bowles revealed "nothing negative" was found, via Kimberly A. Martin of Newsday.
Now in his 11th season in the NFL and with the Jets, Mangold has been a reliable staple on New York's offensive line.
The seven-time Pro Bowler has never missed more than two games in a season and has strung together seven years in which he's played in all 16 games.
Despite being 32 years old, he's been a part of a Jets offensive line that's allowed just 10 sacks this whole season entering Week 7, which was tied for seventh in the league.
