Nerves Of Cold Steel-Ers Raw 10/5/09

Monday Night Raw comes to us heading out of a brutal pay per view last night. 
No opening with replays or anything odd for the night after a ppv. Vintage Raw is underway. First off Big Ben is On stage in Wilkes barre pa.

"The Diva Bowl." 14 diva match. Looks to be a tag match. Rosa and Mickie start off. all the divas in.Penalty called for too many divas in. Mickie kicks Rosa in the face Alicia tags herself in. Natalya breaks up the pin. hell breaks loose. divas pulling off spots all over. ends with Mickie doing a victory roll for the 3.

Orton is coming out. Stalking to the ring with the face divas still in the "Squared Circle" Justin Roberts Announces for the fans to Welcome the New WWE Champion Randy Orton.
Orton stops at the bottom of the ramp. Cut to break. 

Orton is now in the ring with the mic in tow. 
"When Did i need help last night." Calls out John Cena. Orton is now a 6 time wwe champion.(does that count his whc run?) 
Cena is congratulating Orton for his victory. 
Orton shutters at the thought of fans cheering him.
"the match of matches. An Iron Man Match."
"After this Iron match."
"I want you off of my show."
"60 minutes anything goes Cena loses he is off raw."
Break.

All American American is in the ring promising he will go Undefeated for the rest of the year. His opponent is Primo Colon.

Swagger starting off with some amateur offense. Primo trying to use his speed to his advantage. Swagger with the Vader bomb. Push ups Ala Steiner. jack to the outside pounding on Primo. Using the refs 5 count to his full advantage. Swagger with a huge Bear-hug. Shoulders in the corner using the 5 count to his advantage again. primo gets a roll-up for two. Back in the corner. Primo starts to get some offense. Primo on the ropes with a springboard swagger kicks him right out Gut-wrench and Swagger pins him for a three count. and the winning streak begins tonight. Can swagger finish the year undefeated?

fitting going to break they show jerishow talking in front of equipment labelled Upstaging. 

Divas arguing in the back. Santino Is in as ref. Santino is a pervy ref. the divas brawl again.

Bragging rights. Main Event Match is going to be the winner of the Raw match and Smack-down Matches will face off in a tag team match for bragging rights.

Miz is running his mouth at big Ben. "Most people have a birthday I have a Birthday week". "You lose Miz and you have to let everyone know 'I'm the Miz and I'm awful' "
break.

Replay of Chavo from last week. 
Masters gets front billing in the tag match of Masters and Chavo. MvP and Mark Henry are their opponents. Henry vs Masters to start. Power by Henry. Masters off the ropes runs into a shoulder and receives a big splash. Mark looks to have tweaked his knee. tags in MvP. Chavo tagged in. Taking it to MvP. Chavo takes out Henry off the apron. Toss by MvP. Some back and forth sets Chavo up to go Balling. Masters inadvertently drops an elbow on Chavo. Henry looks to have injured his knee. Playing on miscommunication for Chavo's actions last week. Chavo and masters arguing swaggle saves Chavo from the Master-lock. Swaggle crotch chops Chavo and exits the arena.
Break.

Quick breaks tonight it seems. Big Ben is back out. Jeri-Show interrupts Ben.Ben's Offensive line comes out on stage. So much for Jericho's i bet they aren't as big as me. they all like double his size.
"I suggest you get into your huddle thing and think up a strategy Jerishow are the most dominant team in sports." 
Dx Comes out. (What is a Wilkes berry anyways turns out I've been pronouncing the place wrong this whole time.) 
Jericho is plugging Dx merch in a creative fashion. 
"Dx doesn't want any part of JeriShow." 
"tonight Dx will take on Jerishow for the first time ever. The whole offensive line gives the crotch chop in unison. 
Replay video shows the matches from last night in the order many feel they should have happened. and we are back on break.

Miz vs Kofi for the Us Championship. Guess who comes out first..... Not the challenger.
Starts off with a bit of rolling around with a collar and elbow. Kofi misses his spin kick but hits a back chop. Miz going for covers at every chance. Miz flirts with the five count. Kofi returns the favor. Miz trips Kofi up in the ropes Kofi bounces off the apron and to the floor. off to break we go. longest break all night.
Back in and Miz has a front face lock on Kofi. Miz drops a leg on Kofi. Kofi knocks Miz out of the ring with trouble in paradise. Kofi rolls Miz back in the  ring. Miz with a roll up for two. Miz gets to the ropes before the three. Stun guns kofi on the second rope. mizard of oz reversed to a roll up. Kofi with a chain of forearms and a dropkick. Close calls for Miz and the champ. SKF and Miz is finally a singles champion.Miz ends the segment Making out with his first Wwe singles title. Love him or hate him Miz earned the strap in that match. 
John Cena /Make a wish montage brings us into another break.

More Santino. In a nice tribute to Santino and Jericho segment. break tag champs on their way out to the ring.

Champs are coming out first. DX > Title Importance.
Trips and Jericho start the match. Another long collar and elbow to start. Jericho with a headlock. Trips knocked to the mat. rebuttals with a hip-toss. tags in HBK Back  chop. Jericho to the corner returns the favor with a boot to the mouth. Body slam on Shawn. Jericho tags show. Odd camera angle in between Jericho's legs. Shawn quickly goes to trips for the tag. 

Back in from commercial Show has triple H in a bear-hug. Jericho Shouting at the Cerebral Assassin. Show whips Hunter to the corner and Big splash finds Hunter in the corner. Jericho tagged in. Kick to Hunter's Ribs. Back and forth punches between the two. Missle dropkick to Trips for a two count. Jericho now flirting with the DQ count. Jericho misses a rope shot. and catches his midsection on the middle rope. HBK in. Selling his back from last night after a brutal whip to the corner. Show comes in and drops a leg on a helpless HBK. Odd torture Rack on HBK. Show digs the tip of boots into Shawn's Back. Tag to Jericho. Jericho trying to make Shawn suffer . Jericho drags Shawn to the middle of the ring for the Walls of Jericho. Jericho has pulled Shawn away from the tag 2 times and Hunter Breaks the hold. Jericho tags in Show. Shawn hits an insiguri on Show and makes the tag. Triple H causes a nice collision between Show and Jericho. show double suplexes Shawn and Hunter. DX sends show into the time keeper. Jericho starts walking to the back.  Steelers interrupt his evasion. Jericho ducks Hunter and Walks into Chin Music Hunter picks up the three count. ends once again with a Steelers crotch chop. 

Over all I think this show made up for a lot of things i give the show a B- Only because as much as i liked Miz first singles championship being a clean win and not having swaggle bury chavo there was a lot to be desired coming out of a pay per view we now know that Orton Cena will probably be the top rivalry for our great grand children to watch. and that Dx Has set its sights on the tag team champs for the time being. Not much else was built  on this show unless you count Mickie beating Alicia for the three count in the opening bout.  The matches were good However so for the sake of it being a wrestling show and the fact the best matches actually featured wrestling i give this show its grade.

Match of the night has to be Miz vs Kofi  I am not marking out for Miz But it by far was the best match tonight. Which is a lot to say from someone like myself who bashed Miz's very presence in the squared circle when he first went solo earlier this year.
