Giancarlo Stanton, Teammates Honor Jose Fernandez with Mural in Brazil
Three of Jose Fernandez's former teammates paid tribute to the fallen Miami Marlins pitcher with a mural in Rio de Janeiro.
On September 25, Fernandez died at age 24 in a boating accident.
To show his respects, Giancarlo Stanton posted a photo of graffiti art painted in Brazil alongside Marlins teammate A.J. Ramos and former Marlins pitcher Ricky Nolasco, who plays for the Los Angeles Angels.

The mural reads "Nino," an affectionate referent, alongside Fernandez's No. 16 and the Cuban flag. A bat hovers above with the word "saudades," a Portuguese equivalent to "miss you."
