Barcelona Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Luis Suarez, Aleix Vidal
Inter Milan's new owners are reportedly planning an ambitious swoop for a major international star, with the likes of Barcelona's Luis Suarez, Manchester City's Sergio Aguero and Real Madrid's James Rodriguez all mentioned as reported targets.
That's according to La Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t Viola News, via Calciomercato), which reported Rodriguez is the most realistic option for the Nerazzurri. Gazzetta (h/t MailOnline's Rhodri Cannon) previously reported the player himself rejected a £76 million move during the summer transfer window.
The Suning Group purchased Inter during the summer and are determined to take the Nerazzurri to the top of European football after several years of decline. The team won a treble during the 2009-10 season but haven't tasted major success since 2011.

Inter invested in the likes of Gabriel Barbosa, Joao Mario and Antonio Candreva during the summer, and per the report, they're also keeping an eye on Sassuolo starlet Domenico Berardi. While all those players should help their return to glory, the addition of a bonafide star would be a major statement.
Moves for Suarez and Aguero would certainly be ambitious, but as of right now, neither player appears a realistic target. The former is a part of arguably the top attacking threesome in the world at Barcelona, teaming up with Lionel Messi and Neymar to terrorise defenders.
Here's a look at some of his highlights:
The 29-year-old has only been with Barcelona since 2014 but is already one of the team's key players. The Catalans have no reason to sell, and for the Uruguayan, a move to the Italian fashion capital would be a big step back.
The same could be said for Aguero, who has already confirmed he plans on returning to Argentina once his contract with Manchester City expires, as he told La Uno (h/t TalkSport):
"It's clear that I'm going to return to Independiente and retire there. My family know that... I'm going to go there when my contract with Manchester City finishes in 2018.
Here (at City) they know what I want to do, they know I want to return to Argentina.
I'm giving you my word that I want to return to Avellaneda when I leave England.
I dream of playing alongside my brothers.
"
Unlike those two, Rodriguez is not an automatic starter for Los Blancos, and his future has been a hotly debated topic for some time now. The Colombia international has fallen below star youngster Marco Asensio in the pecking order, and if the Spaniard continues to shine, Rodriguez could decide to try his luck elsewhere in the near future.
If he does, there will be plenty of clubs interested in the services of the 2014 FIFA World Cup hero, and it will take a lot of money to convince Rodriguez to move to a rebuilding club that still has more question marks than answers.
Elsewhere, Richard Mennear of the Sunderland Echo reported the Spanish press are linking Barcelona's Aleix Vidal with a move to Sunderland, adding yet another club to the long list of teams reportedly interested in the out-of-favour full-back.

The 27-year-old hasn't featured for the Catalans since the 2-1 loss against Alaves in September and is expected to leave the club in January. Sergi Roberto is manager Luis Enrique's preferred option at right-back, and Ramiro Aldunate of Marca reported the Blaugrana have already prepared a five-man shortlist of potential replacements for Vidal.
Sunderland would be an unlikely landing spot, although the Premier League's enormous wealth means even the smallest clubs in the English top division can't be ruled out.
