Bryce Harper Pays Homage to Harambe Ahead of NLDS Game 5

Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper apparently had more than just Game 5 of the National League Divisional Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers on his mind during Thursday's batting practice. 

Harper paid homage to Harambe, the gorilla who once called the Cincinnati Zoo home and who became a national sensation after he was killed following an incident involving a young child.

A picture of a gorilla and "RIP" were printed on the bottom of the Harper's bat as he prepared for the elimination contest. 

"Never forget" aren't just words to the 2015 NL MVP.
