Joe Thomas Once Introduced Himself to a Browns QB in the Huddle

Zac WassinkOct 13, 2016

The Cleveland Browns have started 26 different quarterbacks since returning to the NFL in 1999. Don't feel bad if you don't know all of them, as you aren't alone.

Per Scott Patsko of Cleveland.com, Cleveland left tackle Joe Thomas once introduced himself to former Browns QB Josh Johnson in the huddle during a game against the Pittsburgh Steelers back in 2012:

"

Starter Thaddeus Lewis was sacked and knocked out of the game with 1:22 left in the fourth quarter, and the Browns faced fourth-and-9 at the Steelers 36. In came Johnson, a fourth-year pro who had started five games over three seasons for Tampa Bay.

"I just said, 'I'm Joe Thomas, I'm your left tackle. Nice to meet you,'" said Thomas.

Johnson was sacked and lost the ball on a fumble the next play. Even still, Johnson probably isn't the worst QB the Browns have used over the past 17 years.
