Manchester United Transfer News: Latest on Matteo Darmian, Inter Milan Rumours
A member of Matteo Darmian's camp has said the Manchester United full-back could seek a move away from the club in January if his playing time does not improve, with Inter Milan reportedly interested.
According to Radio Crc (h/t Football Italia), Fausto Pari, who works alongside the Italian's agent, said:
"We have to understand Manchester United’s will.
Some Italian clubs have tried to take him, but Manchester United shut the door straight away. He’s playing little or not at all, which is a shame because of the national team.
If the situation doesn’t change we’ll have to think of something in January, he risks losing the national team too.
Interest? There was Inter, as came out in the newspapers. We’re at the beginning of October so we’ll have to wait and see how situations develop.

Per Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t Goal), Inter hope to bring him in on loan in January before signing him permanently next summer.
Despite not having the best debut season for United, football writer Liam Canning believes the 26-year-old should be given another chance this year:
Indeed, when at his best, he's a solid, hardworking and versatile defender. He's also a committed ball-winner, as demonstrated by WhoScored.com:
However, Darmian has made just one appearance for the Red Devils this season—the defeat to Feyenoord in the UEFA Europa League.
Samuel Luckhurst of the Manchester Evening News explained the source of his struggles to get in the team under manager Jose Mourinho:
While he still made Giampiero Ventura's Italy squad for the forthcoming international break, he'll undoubtedly struggle to do so in the future if he continues to sit on the bench at Old Trafford.
Darmian is a very useful player to have in the squad, but unless he's able to regain his form—and have the chance to prove that on the pitch—it seems he's destined for a move away from United.
