Thomas Tuchel, Borussia Dortmund Rift Reportedly Alerts Premier League Clubs
A major rift between Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel and the club's lead scout has reportedly put Premier League clubs on high alert, as one of the two could be set to depart BVB in the near future.
Sven Mislintat has played a key part in BVB's incredible rise during the last few seasons and is credited with identifying the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Shinji Kagawa.
According to Alex Richards of the Daily Mirror, he and Tuchel are no longer speaking after a deal to sign Oliver Torres of Atletico Madrid fell through during the summer:

"Torres, 21, rejoined Porto on loan for the current season, having spent the 2014-15 campaign in Portugal, before returning to Atleti last term. But his return to Portugal was only completed one week before deadline day, with Tuchel having earmarked him as a replacement for (Henrikh) Mkhitaryan BEFORE the end of last season, as the now-Manchester United midfielder's contract situation dragged on.
"
Mislintat instead chased former BVB star Mario Gotze, who completed a move back to the club from Bayern Munich.

Per the report, Mislintat's fantastic reputation in Germany and his consistent great work for the club―he played a key role in the transfers of Emre Mor and Ousmane Dembele last summer―mean BVB want to do everything possible to keep him around, including promoting him to the role of "head of professional football."
That would give him more responsibilities and could in turn lead to the departure of Tuchel, who has 18 months left on his current deal and has done well as Jurgen Klopp's replacement so far.
Bleacher Report's Nick Akerman is already dreaming of seeing Tuchel at Arsenal:
Managers tend to sit higher in the pecking order than even top scouts at clubs, but BVB's philosophy in the transfer market, in which they focus mostly on unknown players with vast potential, means Mislintat is of huge importance to the team.
Hamburg and Hannover are already eyeing the 43-year-old, with the former reportedly willing to make him their technical director, per Richards.
Die Schwarzgelben currently sit in third place in the Bundesliga under Tuchel and finished last season in second place, 10 points behind Bayern.
