WWE SmackDown: Live Results, Reaction and Analysis for October 4

Welcome to Bleacher Report's live coverage of the October 4 episode of SmackDown.

This is the final show before Sunday's No Mercy pay-per-view, so any additions WWE wants to make to the card have to happen Tuesday.

The match most people are looking forward to is the WWE Championship bout featuring AJ Styles defending the title against John Cena and Dean Ambrose.

However, Dolph Ziggler and The Miz have created a program just as compelling thanks to their passionate promos and top-notch wrestling ability.

Thursday's show will attempt to wrap up all the big storylines as we head into Sunday's PPV while also providing us with enough entertainment to keep watching SmackDown.
