WWE SmackDown: Live Results, Reaction and Analysis for October 4

The Doctor Chris MuellerOct 4, 2016

Welcome to Bleacher Report's live coverage of the October 4 episode of SmackDown.

This is the final show before Sunday's No Mercy pay-per-view, so any additions WWE wants to make to the card have to happen Tuesday.

The match most people are looking forward to is the WWE Championship bout featuring AJ Styles defending the title against John Cena and Dean Ambrose.

However, Dolph Ziggler and The Miz have created a program just as compelling thanks to their passionate promos and top-notch wrestling ability.

Thursday's show will attempt to wrap up all the big storylines as we head into Sunday's PPV while also providing us with enough entertainment to keep watching SmackDown.

Has Randy Orton figured out how to combat Bray Wyatt's mind games?

Has Ziggler sealed his own fate by putting his career on the line against The Miz?

Will The Usos' new attitude lead them to another Tag Team Championship run?

Does Alexa Bliss have what it takes to defeat Becky Lynch for the women's title?

And lastly, will any new matches be added to Sunday's event?

Make sure to bookmark this page and come back Tuesday night at the start of SmackDown at 8 p.m. ET on the USA Network. Bleacher Report will have answers to these questions and coverage of all the action.
