Manchester United Transfer News: Alphonso Davies Scouted in MLS, Latest Rumours
Manchester United are reportedly tracking the progress of 15-year-old Alphonso Davies.
As reported by Marc Weber for the Province in British Columbia, Davies' potential has brought him to the attention of United after a series of impressive displays coming off the substitutes' bench.
The Old Trafford club's Americas scout Jorge Alvial watched Davies in action for Major League Soccer side Vancouver Whitecaps on Sunday.

The teenager's form saw him start the match on Sunday, and Alvial would have delivered glowing reports to United manager Jose Mourinho about Davies' raw pace and technical ability.
Davies put in a man-of-the-match performance in his side's 2-1 defeat to Seattle Sounders, causing problems with his pace and trickery on the wing, per Farhan Devji for the official Whitecaps website.
FootballTalentScout highlighted Davies' ability in winning his side a penalty against Seattle:
As Davies does not yet have a Canadian passport, he would not be able to move to the Premier League until he is 18 years old, meaning any transfer United make could see him loaned back to the Whitecaps.
Canada's low FIFA ranking, currently at 103, could also prove problematic in any attempt to capture the player, who has netted three times in 24 appearances for the club in all competitions.
As Weber wrote of the talented youngster:
"He displayed an impressive combination of pace, technical ability and desire. He’s not backed down from the physical side of playing against much older men. He’s not shirked his defensive duties, either. He’s the best prospect the Caps have had in MLS, and by quite a margin."

News of United's interest in Davies comes as the club also sent their chief scout Jim Lawlor to watch teenage Jamaica winger Leon Bailey, according to Simon Jones for MailOnline.
Bailey plays for Belgian Pro league side Genk, and the 19-year-old has impressed with five goals this season, including one in front of Lawlor during a 3-1 win against Sassuolo in the UEFA Europa League last week.
