Projecting Braun Strowman's Best Possible Feuds Following WWE Raw Monster Run

Tom ClarkOct 4, 2016

Braun Strowman is ready for some real competition.

The former Wyatt Family strongman made his feelings known on the Oct. 3 edition of WWE Raw, and it's up to general manager Mick Foley. Strowman wants more than he's been getting, and now the door is open for that to happen.

At this point, many fans are likely relieved.

The reason for that is due to Strowman's run since the WWE brand split. Week after week, Strowman works a squash match. A local guy enters the ring and automatically becomes the latest dead man walking. He tries to put up a fight, but Strowman is just too much for him.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

But now Strowman has called Foley out on live TV, and by doing so, he has entered the next phase. Now he will share the same air as the Raw GM, which means he is no longer flying under the radar. This is WWE's chance to take the next step with Strowman, but there's one question: Who are the best choices to face him?

Mark Henry

The World's Strongest Man would have no problem stepping up to the younger Strowman.

Henry is a pro and has always come through for WWE. He's one of the best big men the company has ever seen, and he can still pop the crowd. He can offer some veteran advice to Strowman behind the scenes while also giving him a good showing in the ring.

He may be the best option WWE can use here.

The best part about this is that the matches themselves do not need to be that long. The feud itself does not need to carry on that long, either. Just a few weeks of TV and house shows may be enough for Strowman to gain some more credibility with fans that are ready to see what he can do against a player such as Henry.

This is about Strowman continuing to impress. He's done that with a plethora of squash matches in which he got the chance to show off. Now he can do that against a former world champion. Henry will give him a good feud, and fans will see just what Strowman can do when it's time to move on.

Big Show

Mark Henry may be one of the best big men in WWE history, but Big Show may be the best ever.

Despite how much criticism Show has received from fans over the years, there is no denying that he is more than capable of getting the job done. Whether that job involves him winning the WWE World Championship or putting over a younger talent, Big Show can make it happen.

Strowman is the next young big man to need an assist.

Show is the best man to learn from, as he has done it all. He's a seven-time world champion, he's worked main event matches all over the world and he's been in the business for 21 years. He knows the art of being a big man, and few can lay claim to having more knowledge of how it's supposed to be done.

Show is the link between the Attitude Era and the New Era. He knows what it takes to get over, and he can pass on more to Strowman than anyone else in the business today.

Fans may hate him, but they will pop for him against Strowman. He will win the crowd back because of this feud, and he could win against Strowman. But this is Strowman's time, and he will evolve further than he ever has before.

Strowman will go over and get over in this one.

Roman Reigns

This is the big time for Strowman.

Reigns may not be the face of WWE like many believed he would be, but he's still one of the top guys in the company. That means whoever faces him is on the main event stage, which is where Strowman will eventually land.

This is a feud that will be good for both men.

Reigns has always struggled to get over. If a heel is popular in the slightest, he will usually get a bigger reaction than Reigns in the ring. This is not what WWE wants, as Reigns is always featured as a top face.

No matter how many times fans believed it was logical to turn Reigns, it just has not happened.

So Reigns needs a strong heel to work with. Rusev is that heel right now, but at some point, that feud will be over. When it ends, The Big Dog should move on to Strowman. The former Wyatt Family member will not split the crowd, as fans have booed him consistently since his debut.

He will be the perfect foil for Reigns, and he will also give The Big Dog all he can handle.

The key here is not crushing Reigns to the point of no return. WWE has invested too much time and energy in Reigns to see him destroyed now. But if this feud does indeed happen, Strowman should go over.

Reigns can rebound; he's done it his entire career. Strowman, however, can't get to the main event level and go down on his first trip. So whether it's due to interference, distraction or injury, Reigns should do the honors for Strowman.

Stroman will finally realize his potential and become the new United States champion in the process.

WWE has a great cast of characters, but its number of big men is not what it once was. Strowman represents a new day for the giants in Vince McMahon's company, and he could become one of the most dominant ones fans have ever seen.
