Liverpool Transfer News: Latest on Philippe Coutinho and Alexander Isak Rumours
Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho has said the club "feels like home" and is predicting a very bright future at Anfield under manager Jurgen Klopp.
In an interview with James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo, Coutinho spoke in depth about his time at Anfield. As noted in the piece, there have been links to Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona in the past, although the Brazilian has insisted he couldn't be happier on Merseyside:
"Liverpool feels like my home.
I feel happy, settled and comfortable here with the city and the people.
It's an amazing city. I enjoy going to the cinema with my wife and to restaurants in town.
The supporters are very nice. Hearing people singing my name, it inspires me. The fans here make me feel amazing.
They give all the players confidence. They are there for us in every game.

There were times under the guidance of Brendan Rodgers when it was up to the former Inter Milan man to bail the Reds out of games with his remarkable quality in the final third. But under Klopp, Coutinho is one part in an enthralling attacking setup, something that's propelled Liverpool to a tremendous start to the Premier League season.
As such, there's been some talk of a potential title challenge for the Reds. Coutinho is aiming high, too.
"What I really want is to lift the trophies for this club," he told Pearce. "That's the most important thing. You want to look back at the end of your career and think about what you have won. We have been so close but we don't want this any more. We don't want to just go close. We want to take that next step."
With the Brazilian in brilliant form alongside the likes of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Adam Lallana, it would be unwise to rule Liverpool out.
Per Squawka Football, Coutinho has a penchant for conjuring magic moments, too:
In the past Liverpool have lost key men like Fernando Torres, Luis Suarez and Raheem Sterling, so there would have been some concerns about keeping the likes of Coutinho at the club over the past couple of campaigns. However, with Klopp powering this side forward and the Brazilian loving life in Liverpool, the Reds are well capable of pushing for major honours.
Liverpool to Miss Out on Alexander Isak

According to CalcioMercato (h/t Aaron Flanagan of the Daily Mirror), Liverpool are to miss out on the signing of Alexander Isak, a youngster predicted to follow in the footsteps of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
It's suggested in the piece the Reds, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid are all keen on the 17-year-old, who plays his football with AIK, although it's Juventus who are said to be the side most likely to push through a January deal.
Per CalcioMercato (h/t Dipesh Agarwal of Sport Witness), the Bianconeri reportedly want to land the striker in a partnership with Cagliari.
Although comparisons to Ibrahimovic are obviously premature, Isak is a striker who is set for a very bright future. Here's a look at what he can offer:
Already the teenager has scored seven goals for AIK this season, and as noted by Flanagan, it's been confirmed by the club's director of football that he will likely leave in the near future.
Liverpool would love to get this one over the line, although Isak looks set to have a choice of numerous elite clubs. Perhaps he'd be more likely to get minutes under Klopp than with a side that are already an established force in Europe, but the Reds will have to be at their persuasive best if they're to fight off the clubs reported to be circling the talented striker.
