Red Sox Pay Homage to David Ortiz with Grass Image of Big Papi in the Outfield

Unless he changes his mind, Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz will play his final regular-season games at Fenway Park this weekend. And the Red Sox are offering a special visual tribute to Big Papi—one that those flying over the diamond won't miss. 

Boston's grounds crew cut a giant image of Ortiz into the grass in Fenway's center field. Per Buster Olney of ESPN, creating the image took more than some standard field maintenance: 

Ortiz will get a few more chances to point to the sky this October, as the Red Sox won the American League East on Wednesday.
