Oh I Love October Baseball
Man oh man, loyal reader, do I love October baseball. Starting this week, the Division League Series begins. However, before that can take place, the Detroit Tigers and Minnesota Twins have to play a one-game play in for the American League Central title and the right to travel to New York to play the Yankees.
Both teams made it perfectly clear that they weren't ready to go home for the winter yet. Both jumped out to early leads with the Twins destroying the Kansas City Royals 13-4 and the Tigers holding on the an eighth-inning surger by the Chicago White Sox 5-3.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
Expect the Metrodome to be rocking Tuesday at 5:07 PM, especially if the Minnesota Vikings, led by Brett Favre, beat their hated rivals the Green Packers on Monday Night Football.
All eyes are on Minnesota to kick off the work week. Honestly with the season series split this really is a pick’em, but with the Twins having the momentum from their uphill climb to this point I’m going to take them is a close game.
Regardless of the outcome, I think the winner of this one game play off will ride a wave of emotion all the way to New York City. Will it be enough to overtake the powerful Yankees?
I doubt it.
However long the post season last for Detroit and Minnesota the baseball watching world thanks both of you for adding one more game to the postseason.
