Dodgers Tip Their Cap to Vin Scully in Announcer's Last Game at Dodger Stadium
Kyle NewportSep 25, 2016
After 67 years of calling games for the Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodgers, Vin Scully got behind the mic at Dodger Stadium on Sunday for the final time.
Knowing that, Dodgers players paid tribute to the legendary broadcaster with salutes as they stepped to the plate.
Los Angeles did, of course, clinch the National League West crown. Even though the team will play postseason baseball, don't expect to hear the voice of the Dodgers on the air. As Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reported Sept. 13, Scully has decided to not work the playoffs.
