  • Former Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch was a guest on TBS' Conan with Conan O'Brien, where he was asked about his opinion on Colin Kaepernick's protest of the national anthem. "I just hope people open up their eyes to see that there's really a problem going on," Lynch said. "And something needs to be done."

Jerry Jones Comments on Ezekiel Elliott's Fumbles

  • In an interview on 105.3 The Fan (h/t Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News), Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was asked if Ezekiel Elliott's fumbles in Week 2 would impact the young back's workload going forward. "No. They will not, at all," Jones said. "He’s a big man, and he carries it properly."

Could the San Diego Chargers Sign Ronnie Hillman?

  • Former Denver Broncos running back Ronnie Hillman was cut prior to the start of the regular season to make room for Devontae Booker. But Hillman may not be out of a job for long. According to ESPN's Adam Caplan, the San Diego Chargers brought Hillman in for a workout in the wake of Danny Woodhead's season-ending ACL tear.

C.J. Spiller to Visit the Green Bay Packers

  • After being cut by the New Orleans Saints, veteran running back C.J. Spiller is searching for a new team. "I’m just going to wait for the next right opportunity," Spiller told Josina Anderson of ESPN (via her Facebook page). "I still have a lot of football left in me." That opportunity may be with the Green Bay Packers, who intend to bring Spiller in for a visit, according to Caplan.

Danny Trevathan to Undergo Thumb Surgery

  • On the heels of signing a four-year, $24.5 million deal with the Chicago Bears this offseason, linebacker Danny Trevathan looks like he may be out for an extended period to start the season. A thumb injury he suffered against the Philadelphia Eagles will require surgery, though Bears coach John Fox said that won't end his season, per the team's Twitter account.
