Tottenham Transfer News: Latest on Bruma and Isco Rumours

Tom SunderlandSep 17, 2016

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly sent scouts to examine Galatasaray youngster Bruma in preparation to recruit a player said to be valued at €25 million (£21.5 million). Meanwhile, Isco is understood to be seeking the Real Madrid exit.

According to Emre Sarigul of Turkish Football, Spurs were one of four Premier League teams on hand to watch the winger in a recent display against Kayserispor, with Chelsea, Arsenal and West Ham United also in attendance.

The 21-year-old is earning major attention from the English top flight after winning two man-of-the-match awards in his last two outings, one of which came against Kayserispor.

Bruma spent the 2015-16 campaign on loan at Real Sociedad, but OptaCan noted it was only upon returning to the Super Lig he's really started to show his true potential:

Tottenham sold Nacer Chadli to West Bromwich Albion over the summer and may look to add another wide option to their ranks, particularly if Son Heung-Min's future is in some doubt as reported by the Evening Standard's Tom Collomosse.

FourFourTwo's Simon Harrison stated his belief that Tottenham would be getting their hands on a rare brand of player if they were to complete a move for Bruma:

If Tottenham have begun the scouting process to keep tabs on the Gala attacker, Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino may decide 2017 is the time to launch an approach for the Portugal under-21 international.

Elsewhere, Spanish newspaper Sport suggested Isco is "determined" to leave Real Madrid in January, and Tottenham may decide this is the ideal opportunity to recruit the playmaker (h/t Metro's Mark Brus).

Isco's prospects at the Santiago Bernabeu haven't been helped by manager Zinedine Zidane, who has given his midfielder just 83 minutes of football across all competitions this season.

However, a major factor in Real's potential reluctance to sell players may relate to whether or not they serve a transfer ban in 2017, and Di Marzio translator David Amoyal hinted they may not cash in just yet:

Tottenham were linked with a deadline-day loan move to sign Isco during the summer, but the north Londoners' late surge came to nothing as Los Blancos opted to hold onto his talents.

Real may not be tempted to sell their star, but if reports of Isco's eagerness prove genuine, it could force the Spanish club's hands in deciding to execute a long-anticipated departure.
