Corso might be the most interesting of the bunch when the crew touches down. Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Samantha Ponder will call the game, but it's Corso who graduated from Florida State and coached Louisville.

On the field, a pair of undefeated, high-powered offenses will do battle in an explosive contest sure to feature massive implications on the rankings.

Florida State is the big dog going into Saturday's showdown, the team with the higher rank and arguably more publicity. Unfortunately for the Seminoles, it's also the team with the most question marks entering the game.

The Seminoles came up big in last week's 52-8 throttling of Charleston Southern and leapfrogged Clemson in the rankings—but they lost star defensive back Derwin James to an injury in the process.

Call it a catastrophic blow to the Seminoles in the short term, so long as he returns this season. Now the hobbled defense has to deal with Lamar Jackson, a Heisman Trophy hopeful who already has 697 passing yards and seven touchdowns to one interception through the air with another 318 yards and six touchdowns on the ground.

His start has been nothing short of historic:

That's impressive, but the Florida State offense can put up points of its own.

In fact, the Seminoles dropped a 45-burger on then-No. 11 Ole Miss to start the season before last week's 52-point waxing. Freshman quarterback Deondre Francois has looked the part, throwing for 681 yards and five scores to one pick. Flanking him is elite back Dalvin Cook, who has 174 yards and a pair of scores on all of 34 totes.

Louisville defensive coordinator Todd Grantham offered high praise for Francois, comparing him to Jameis Winston, according to ESPN.com's David Hale:

"

He goes through the right reads, understands where to throw the ball, and he looks to be a quarterback first. He has the arm strength to make all the throws. I always look at a QB and ask, 'Will he throw it into a tight window?' A lot of guys won't pull the pin. This guy will throw into tight windows and try to make a play, a lot like Winston. Winston was that kind of guy. He has a high ceiling to be a really good player.

"

That's high praise, though it's Cook who has his eyes on the Heisman and last year torched the Cardinals with 223 total yards and two scores in a 41-21 Florida State win.

Call Saturday a war of attrition between two offenses that figure to have little issue moving the ball. Also call it a contest that is more than befitting of the spotlight.

Prediction

Las Vegas likes the Seminoles by about three points, according to Odds Shark.

It's hard to argue. Jackson is an incredible player and likely has plenty of individual accolades headed his way soon, but he's a bit of a one-man show. He's taken more than double the number of carries of any player on the roster so far, which means Florida State can zero in on him.

This lack of versatility against a potent Florida State offense will cause problems for the Cardinals. James' absence hurts Florida State, but it doesn't change the fact that the defensive unit still boasts a strong overall outlook.

After keeping quarterback Chad Kelly in check to take down a Top 10 team, Florida State will do much of the same as the game wears on and rally late to steal the win on the road.

Prediction: Florida State 38, Louisville 35
