Manchester United Transfer News: Grigoris Kastanos Rumours Discussed by Agent
Grigoris Kastanos' agent has said he is unaware of any interest in the Juventus midfielder from Manchester United despite reports linking the 18-year-old with the Red Devils.
Sam Morgan in the Sun recently reported that United manager Jose Mourinho and Everton boss Ronald Koeman are both interested in the talented Cypriot.
However, Kastanos' representative, Yanni Evangelopoulos, revealed that he had no knowledge of any such interest before it emerged in the media, but he admitted the links were satisfying, per ESPN FC's Peter O'Rourke:

"I know nothing about interest from Manchester United and Everton apart from what I have seen in the media.
Grigoris, although young, is on a professional contract at Juventus and he was with the first team this summer on preseason.
It is nice to hear of reported interest from other clubs, but Juventus are also a big club—in the top 10 in Europe in my opinion. Grigoris is focused on developing at Juventus and trying to do his best for them.
"
Per Paul Joyce in the Express, United have gone as far as to send scouts to watch Kastanos, while the Cyprus international is reportedly in talks with Juve over a new contract, and the Italians want to bump his release clause up to £17 million.
Clearly Juve do not want Kastanos poached from them, which is unsurprising given his obvious potential—see below for a glimpse of what he can do:
He is already a two-time senior international and put in an excellent showing starting in the No. 10 role for Cyprus against Belgium in Sept. 6's FIFA World Cup qualifier.
He is also able to operate on the left flank and scored both goals in a 2-1 victory for Juve against Manchester City in last season's UEFA Youth League.
Kastanos has yet to make a senior appearance for Juve but has shown huge potential and could well be a star of the future for the Old Lady.
As noted by Evangelopoulos, the Italian champions are one of the top clubs in Europe—currently ranked in the continent's top five by Bleacher Report's Sam Tighe:
So even if there is interest from United and Everton, it would likely take plenty of persuading to tempt Kastanos into leaving the Turin outfit.
