Indians P Zach McAllister Kicks Liner Up to Himself for Out
Thomas DuffyJun 8, 2018
Cleveland Indians pitcher Zach McAllister gets paid because he can throw.
On Tuesday, he made the highlight reel because he can kick.
During the top of the sixth inning, Minnesota Twins catcher Kurt Suzuki ripped a liner up the middle, but McAllister kept the ball airborne with a kick and then snagged it with his glove.
The 28-year-old righty—who apparently owns calves of steel—laughed about the play afterward as fans roared in approval.
Cleveland won, 5-4.
