Yoenis Cespedes Celebrates Walk-off Home Run with Emphatic Bat Flip
Andrew GouldAug 30, 2016
On Monday night, Yoenis Cespedes hit a walk-off home run in the 10th inning to defeat the Miami Marlins 2-1, celebrating his feat with a mighty bat flip.
The catalyst of last year's World Series run, Cespedes' red-hot bat is again keeping the New York Mets' playoff hopes alive. Monday's victory moved them into a tie with Miami and kept them 2.5 games behind the St. Louis Cardinals' final National League wild-card spot.
Since returning from the disabled list on Aug. 19 after healing his strained quad, he's 14-for-36 with five home runs. The Mets have won seven of the nine games since his return.
Those are numbers worthy of a bat flip.
