Yu Darvish Hits 1st Career Home Run

When Cincinnati Reds starter Tim Adleman grooved a 1-2 pitch over the heart of the plate to Yu Darvish in the fifth inning of Wednesday's game at Great American Ball Park, he probably didn't imagine he would forever be linked with the Texas Rangers pitcher. 

Darvish crushed the ball to straightaway center and over the wall for the first home run of his Major League Baseball career. Darvish's teammates rushed toward the opening of the dugout to greet him before he even completed his trot around the bases. 

Adleman's inning got only worse. He gave up a home run to Texas center fielder Ian Desmond during the following at-bat.
