Ethier Likely to Start vs. Marlins
Saturday, Sept. 10
Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times reported Ethier is expected to be in left field against the Miami Marlins on Sunday.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts explained the idea to have Ethier rehab and then return to the team at some point in September, according to Eric Stephen of True Blue L.A. on Aug. 23.
Ethier Would Provide Dodgers With Quality Left-Handed Bat
Ethier is coming off a solid 2015 season in which he hit .294 with a .366 on-base percentage to go with 14 home runs in 142 games. He is a consistent hitter in the lineup and has the versatility to play all three outfield positions if needed.
Even if he comes back at less than 100 percent, any contribution would be helpful for the remainder of the regular season and possibly the postseason.
