Yankees' Tyler Austin, Aaron Judge Hit Back-to-Back Home Runs in MLB Debuts
Andrew GouldAug 13, 2016
The New York Yankees are not sweating life without Alex Rodriguez.
On Saturday afternoon, they called up first baseman Tyler Austin and outfielder Aaron Judge to make their MLB debuts against the Tampa Bay Rays.
They arrived with a bang, belting back-to-back homers in their first trips to the batter's box.
Austin struck first, utilizing Yankee Stadium's short porch against Matt Andriese:
Judge then blasted a moonshot to center field:
According to Elias Sports Bureau, they're the first teammates to hit back-to-back homers in their first at-bats.
Both newcomers are part of a bright future for the Bronx Bombers, who are embracing a rare youth movement in the Big Apple. So far, so good.
