Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho vs. Enzo, Big Cass Announced for WWE SummerSlam 2016

WWE announced on Monday night's Raw that Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho will team up to take on Enzo Amore and Big Cass at SummerSlam.

Big Cass laid down the challenge after Owens interfered in Enzo's singles match against Jericho. Owens' involvement caused Cass to level the playing field, and his big boot on Jericho led to a disqualification for Enzo.

Even if it's for only one match at SummerSlam, Jericho and Owens are perfect tag partners. They excel at playing the cowardly heel and can undoubtedly go toe-to-toe with Enzo on the microphone.

And for all of his deserved plaudits as a singles wrestler, Jericho has excelled as a tag team wrestler in the past. He and Edge were tag team champions in 2009, and after Edge went down with an injury, he seamlessly transitioned to a successful run with Big Show as Jeri-Show.

Over the next couple of weeks and potentially beyond, Jericho and Owens will be great at playing off each other and could eventually face off against each other should their relationship sour.

The SummerSlam match is also a nice way for Enzo and Big Cass to maintain their momentum.

WWE announced earlier in the day that The New Day will wrestle Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows for the tag team titles. With a title challenge against The New Day out of the question, taking on Owens and Jericho is a new opportunity for Enzo and Big Cass to remain a serious threat in the tag division.
