Zac WassinkAug 7, 2016
Clinging to a one-run lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, the Philadelphia Phillies turned a triple play to get out of trouble against the San Diego Padres on Sunday.
San Diego outfielder Jabari Blash hit an 0-1 pitch to Philadelphia third baseman Maikel Franco. Franco stepped on the bag and then threw to second baseman Cesar Hernandez, who tossed the ball over to first baseman Tommy Joseph to end the inning and the San Diego threat.
The Phillies went on to beat the Padres, 6-5.
