Atlanta Braves pitcher Julio Teheran was placed on the disabled list on Aug. 2 with a right lat strain. However, he's ready to return.

The Braves announced Teheran would be the starting pitcher against the Washington Nationals on Friday.

Teheran Enjoying Career Year Despite Braves' Dismal Season

Teheran is having the best year of his career with a 2.81 ERA, a 0.97 WHIP and 119 strikeouts in 134.2 innings. 

Finding even a competent rotation to get through the final days of the season is a big concern for the Braves, but at 44-77, the Braves will just be happy to get Teheran back and building on his career season.
